I’m 25 years old and have a full time, good-paying job with great benefits at MSU. But what I really want to do is cut hair. Really really really really bad.
I’m a perfectionist, and I like to have all my ducks in a row before venturing out and starting something new. I have no idea how the salon industry works. All I know is that I go in, get my hair cut, and I watch in awe as all of the stylists in the room work their magic.
I really need to know how it all works- including monetary things, if you’re willing. My husband and I own a home and have other debt we are working hard to pay off. I can’t just quit my job or invest in cosmetology school without knowing exactly what I am getting into.
If you could help me understand how it all works, I would really appreciate it.
